Dear Parish Catechetical Leader, The Office of Faith Formation invites your catechists to take the Introduction to Catechetical Ministry Course. The Introduction to Catechetical Ministry is a six-session course that covers the nature and purpose of catechesis and catechetical methodology. The first three sessions will be on September 26, 27 & 28, 2023, from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM, and the other three sessions will be on January 23, 24 & 25, 2024. Your catechists can take this online course in English or Spanish. Please forward the invitation to your catechists and encourage them to attend these online training sessions. It is crucial for your catechists to be trained and to become competent Catechists at your parish. The six-session course is part of the California Catholic Conference of Bishops requirements for the basic Catechist Certification. For more information, please see the Flyers below. |
