"All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3: 16-17
What is Youth Faith Formation and Catechesis?
“Catechesis is the act of handing on the Word of God intended to inform the faith community and candidates for initiation into the Church about the teachings of Christ, transmitted by the Apostles to the Church. Catechesis also involves the lifelong effort of forming people into witnesses to Christ and opening their hearts to the spiritual transformation given by the Holy Spirit. ” (usccb.org)
Faith Formation is an expression of the mission entrusted by Jesus to the Church. Through Faith Formation, the church seeks to prepare its members, old and young, to proclaim the Good News and to translate this proclamation into action.
Our program teaches and forms the community, especially those new to the faith, about the life of Christ and his teachings in hopes that they will experience Christ’s real presence. The mission of our program is to help our community encounter Christ with their families and friends.
