讀經一
（耶穌就在門徒觀望中，被舉上升。）
(恭讀宗徒大事錄 1:1-11)
親愛的德敖斐羅：我在第一部書中，敘述耶穌所行所教的一切：從開始直到祂藉聖神囑咐所選的宗徒之後，被接上升的那一天為止；祂受難以後，用許多憑據，向他們顯示自己還活著。四十天之久顯現給他們，並且對他們講論天主國的事。耶穌和宗徒一同吃飯時，吩咐他們不要離開耶路撒冷，而要等候父的恩許，祂說：「那就是以前你們聽我所說過的：若翰是用水施行洗禮，但是幾天以後，你們要在聖神內受洗。」聚集在那裏的人問耶穌說：「主啊，祢要在這時復興以色列國嗎？」祂回答說：「父憑自己的權柄所定的時間和日期，你們不必知道；但是當聖神降臨在你們身上時，你們要充滿聖神的能力，並且要在耶路撒冷、猶太和撒瑪黎雅全境，到天涯海角，為我作見證。」耶穌說完了這些話，就在他們注視中，被接上升，有一朵雲彩遮住了祂，他們就看不見祂了。他們向天注視着祂上升的時候，忽然有兩位穿白衣的人站在他們面前，對他們說：「加里肋亞人哪！你們為什麼站在這裏望着天空呢？這位離開你們，被接到天上去的耶穌，你們看見祂怎樣升了天，也要怎樣從天降來。」 —— 上主的聖言
In the first book, Theophilus,
I dealt with all that Jesus did and taught
until the day he was taken up,
after giving instructions through the Holy Spirit
to the apostles whom he had chosen.
He presented himself alive to them
by many proofs after he had suffered,
appearing to them during forty days
and speaking about the kingdom of God.
While meeting with them,
he enjoined them not to depart from Jerusalem,
but to wait for “the promise of the Father
about which you have heard me speak;
for John baptized with water,
but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”
When they had gathered together they asked him,
“Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”
He answered them, “It is not for you to know the times or seasons
that the Father has established by his own authority.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you,
and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,
throughout Judea and Samaria,
and to the ends of the earth.”
When he had said this, as they were looking on,
he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight.
While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going,
suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them.
They said, “Men of Galilee,
why are you standing there looking at the sky?
This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven
will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.”

【答】在歡呼聲中，天主上升，在號角聲中，上主騰空。
- 萬民，你們要鼓掌，以歡呼的歌聲，頌掦上主。因為上主至高至尊，可敬可畏，是統治大地的偉大君王。
- 在歡呼聲中，天主上升；在號角聲中，上主騰空。你們要歌頌，歌頌我們的天主，要歌頌，歌頌我們的君王。
- 因為天主是普世的君王。你們要謳歌讚頌。天主坐於神聖的寶座，天主為王，統治萬邦。

（天主使基督在天上坐在自己的右邊。）
(恭讀聖保祿宗徒致厄弗所人書 Eph 1:17-23)
弟兄們：願我們的主耶穌基督的天主，就是那光榮的父，把智慧和啟示的神恩，賜予你們，使你們認識祂；並求祂光照你們的心，使你們認清祂的寵召有什麼希望，祂賜給聖徒的嗣業又怎樣充滿了光榮。祂曾將這非常的能力施展在基督身上，使祂從死人中復活，使祂在天上坐在自己的右邊，遠遠超越一切執政的、掌權的、異能的、統治的，以及現世和來試可能稱呼的名銜之上；祂又將萬有歸服在基督的腳下，使基督在教會內作至高的元首，這教會就是基督的身體，是那位在一切內充滿一切者的圓滿。 —— 上主的聖言
Brothers and sisters:
May the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
give you a Spirit of wisdom and revelation
resulting in knowledge of him.
May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened,
that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call,
what are the riches of glory
in his inheritance among the holy ones,
and what is the surpassing greatness of his power
for us who believe,
in accord with the exercise of his great might,
which he worked in Christ,
raising him from the dead
and seating him at his right hand in the heavens,
far above every principality, authority, power, and dominion,
and every name that is named
not only in this age but also in the one to come.
And he put all things beneath his feet
and gave him as head over all things to the church,
which is his body,
the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.

那時候，十一位門徒往加里肋亞去，到了耶穌給他們所指定的山上。他們看見耶穌，就朝拜了祂，但是仍有些人心中懷疑。耶穌便上前來，對他們說：「天上地下一切權柄都交給了我，所以，你們要去使萬民作我的門徒，因父及子及聖神之名，給他們授洗，教訓他們遵守我所吩咐你們的一切。我要天天跟你們在一起，直到今世的終結。」 —— 基督的福音
The eleven disciples went to Galilee,
to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them.
When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted.
Then Jesus approached and said to them,
“All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
